It’s that time of year when our fleet of VW campervans wakes up from a winter slumber in their cosy garage unit under the stunning Preston Road viaduct. Well not quite true they are in and out every now and again over winter as people try them out for a short hire, or a snow trip, but its hardly busy.

In contrast, yesterday all our VW California camper van hire fleet went out for the first time since February half term. Easter is traditionally the start of our campervan season, which builds to the festival campervan hire season, packed summer holidays and has a long tail into October half term. It can be quite a wake-up for us too! All the jobs that we should have done are frantically carried out at the last minute. Replacement equipment, new tent awnings, plate sets, kettles, utensils, spare oil etc are all ordered and vehicles serviced. It will be busy from now on, and getting more intense for the May bank holidays.

We also have our new 2014 VW California camper van hire fleet arriving soon, which doubles our fleet size. We have increased from 5 to 6 vans this year so it going to be busy, but it’s all welcome with so much demand for campervan fun filled road trips. Due to the recent good weather bookings are flooding in and we are already fully booked on most of the bank holiday weeks and some of the festivals (yes Glasto is full!) so don’t leave your booking enquiries too long. There really is nothing worse than getting a month’s hire enquiry the week before, which we cannot fulfil!
